Presidents Comments

Dear Ladies,

I am very honored to serve as the President for Distrcit 21.  It is a big job, with alot of responsibility but I know with your help we will make this year successful.  I have to thank Past District President Donna Prestidge for the guidence and insight she has passed along to me.  Enjoy your vacation Donna you earned it.  First thing I need to clear up is in the Program Book.  The deadlines for mid-year reports and year-end reports are wrong.  Deadline for mid-year reporting is December 10, 2010, and year-end is April 10, 2011.  All reports need to be mailed to me before these dates.  I will be reminding you of this correction throughout the year.  Statewide Training was Saturday July 10, 2010 at VFW Post 8911.  It was a great success.  Many new face, and some faces we haven't seen in awhile, were in the crowd and that is always a good thing. Thank you, Past Department President, Roberta Carnely you did an outstanding job keeping it informative and enjoyable. Also thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary 8911 for doing such a wonderful job of cooking, setting up the tables and all the little extras you added to make this event such a success.  Kickoff is at 1:00 on July 25, 2010 at VFW Post 9299 in Alvarado. I am requesting  Auxiliary Presidents at 12:30 for a quick School of Instruction.  It is important you attend Kickoff,  because this is where you will receive your program information so you can get started on what I am sure is going to be a fantastic year.  I look forward to working along side District Commander "CW" Pete Kinson. Together we know that with a lot  of hard work, good communication and a little fun along the way that District 21 will have a great year from "Start to Finish"!!
