President's Comments

I am proud to be your District President, to be able to serve the Veterans of the VFW and their families. I thank you all for getting behind Glen and me to help District 21 be number ONE
Thank you to all the officers and chairman for the great job they did at Kick-off. You chairman did a great job in presenting your programs to the Post's and Auxiliaries President's Comments

We had a great turn out at the District Training Session on Aug. 2nd . My appreciation and thanks goes out to Post 8911 and the Ladies Auxiliary for their hosting of this program. Thank you to Linda Barnett, the instructors ( Bennie Knapp, Mary Ruth Ornsbee, Sylvia Williams, Marie Chapman, and Dorothy Moore). Most of all I want to thank all who attended; I know that some of you traveled a long way.

Karen Burke Dist. Conductress has held one training for the opening and closing ceremony with the flags. There weren't very many there. She is having two more before our Oct. 12th meeting. Sept. 13th at Post 9299 at 1:00PM and Oct.4th at Post 8235 at 1:00 PM. All officers involved in these ceremonies should try to make these meetings.

I start my Inspections Sept. 9th with Auxiliary 5617 at 6:30, At Post 2399 in Mineral Wells on Sept. 11th at 7:00 PM. Sat. Sept. 13th I will be at Post 9299 in Alvarado for their 10:30 meeting. I will be going to their breakfast before the meeting. I am not asking anyone else to attend but will appreciate it if some of you do when I am near you. Everyone is welcome.

On Sept 17th there will be a Hospital Veterans Day out at Hunter Park in Grandbury. This a great cause so please try to attend.

That night I travel to Grapevine Auxiliary 10454 at 7:00 PM. Every one please say a prayer for me on my travels.
Remember Sept. 19th POW/MIA program at 8235, at 3:OOPM. Also Sept. 20th Chili cook-off at Post 4746, please try to make and support these programs.

My last inspection for Sept will be the 22 "d at
Auxiliary 7835 at 7:00 PM.
