Linda Saucedo Heads up the Veterans Services Program for Homeless Veterans in Tarrant County, including Patriot House, and Presbyterian Night Shelter.
This interview with Mrs. Salcedo is about what they do and some of how they do it.

There are approximately 500 homeless Veterans in the area right now.  200 are in
the programs offered by Veterans Services , to one degree or another.

The people working in the shelters literally go to the streets and offer
their services and programs to our homeless Vets.
They have a transitional housing program for Vets that have some
income, either from Social Security or a disability from the VA.
The residents can live in transitional housing for 24 months and then
they get help to move to permanent housing.
Case managers keep an eye on them as to sobriety and taking proper
medication.

Shelter Plus is case managed apartments. This is for low income
residents. Currently there are 150 workers in the shop
or in the community earning money.

The Department of Veterans Services is also on board to help with claims
and assistance.
