President's Comments

To the hardest working ladies in the Department of Texas,

Now that the holiday's, President's visit, Mid Winter and the snow and ice storms are over we can get back to business. Currently we are are at 83.52% in membership.  If every auxiliary makes quota this would put us at 86% for the district.  If your auxiliary is not at quota yet I know you will be soon.  83.52% is not bad considering that we started the year at a negative 247.  Cancer Aid & research numbers put us in the number one spot for our division. Chairman and all auxiliaries have done an amazing job, keep up the good work.  4 of our Buddy Poppy Hats placed in the hat contest at Mid Winter.  I saw all the hats and District 21 definitely has the most creative ladies.  Congratulations to all of you.  Every president received a packet of information from Mid Winter.  Inside was the new updated year end report forms from Hospital and Veterans & Family Services.  When you do your year end report you need to use these new forms or your report will not be counted.  Both Department Chairman instructed that you tear out the old forms from the program book and throw it away and replace it with this new form.  If you are the chairman of these programs ask your president for the forms.  If you did not receive this information contact me and I will get this information to you.  Year end reports are due to me by April 10 and  my address is 8701 CR 505. Alvarado, TX 76009   Have you thanked the veteran that made it possible for you to become a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars?
Remember this District belongs to you!
