12 Dec 2011:  I did the memorial and read the VFW Ritual at DFW Ntl Cemetery for Bill Quiett.  Bill was a former Cmdr of Post 2137, 1962-63 and long time member of the Dist 21 Honor Guard.  He will be missed and remembered by many.  Please keep his family in mind as you pray.

19 Dec 2011: I will be at the Dallas VA Hosp tomorrow with a regular doctor’s appt. and will try to stop in and visit Comrade Larry Malden on the 7th floor.  Please keep him in your prayers as he is very ill and needs to gain strength in order to continue his cancer treatments.

30 Dec 2011: It is with heavy heart that I pass along the message I received that Larry Malding; past Post Cmdr of Post 9299 & Dist 21 Rest Stop Chairman passed away yesterday. Funeral arrangements are pending. Please keep his family in your prayers.

31 Dec 2011: Past Cmdr Chuck Berry has informed me that Weldon Wood, Past Cmdr Post 2137 is terminal and at Harris Hospital downtown and that Weldon's wife Tinnie died on Christmas Day with funeral at Biggars funeral home at 2:00 on the 29th. Please include that family in your prayers of consolation.

31 Dec 2011: Larry Maldin's Services will be held at Post 9299 at 10 am on Jan 4th. Burial will be at the National Cemetary at 2pm the same day. See taps page

2 JAN 2012: Sue Domm informed me that Chris passed away last night. We have lost a good man and I have lost a friend. Please keep his family in your prayers as they make final plans. All I know so far is that he will be buried at the DFW Natl Cemetery.

9 Jan 2012: Sue Domm called me to inform me that Chris's Memorial would be at 10:00AM on Wed the 11th at Castleberry Baptist Ch at I-820 & Silvercreek. He has been cremated. Intermit date & time at DFW Ntl Cemetery is still pending.

10 Jan 2012: Chris Domm will be buried at DFW Ntl Cemetery on Fri the 13th at 10:15 AM. His procession will be in lane "C".

14 Jan 2012: Our thoughts and prayers are with Sharon Hilton these next days as she faces an emergency operation at the Dallas VA hospital instead of the President's Luncheon planned for her at Post 4695 on Saturday.

19 Jan 12: I emailed condolences and a prayer today to State VFW Chaplain Dickerson for the loss of his mother. Please include the Dickerson family in your prayers as they deal with this loss of so vital a family member.

21 Jan 12: State Pres. Sharon needs our prayers for healing ever more now as she undergoes her latest surgery at the Dallas VA Hospital. She also remains in the ICU (no visitors).

22 Jan 12: just received a sad note from Glenn Heady that Post 2137 Sr. Vice Jimmy D. Hughes has suffered a massive stroke and is at Plaza Medical on life support. He and his family are in desperate need of your prayers for recovery.

24 Jan 12: Cmdr Jim Van Rite & I went to Plaza Medical to visit Jimmy D Hughes. We found him in ICU 2nd Floor Rm 213. His eldest son Jonathan was there as we said prayers and caught up on his father's condition/treatment. Jimmy is making progress but still needs our continued prayers for healing.
